Review YSL glossy stain in orange de chine

Last week was my boyfriend's sister birthday so I decided to pick a new lipstick for her as a surprise birthday present. When i was at the airport, it was 7am in the morning and i was really tired as i had slept only 2 hours the night before. I rushed to the YSL cosmetic counter and tried to find a good lipstick for her as i remembered how much she likes one of my YSL lipstick the first time i saw her. I was quite please with this lip gloss since it is more on the natural side and i thought it would be good during the winter when our lips tend to dry faster.  when i try it on my hand ,the color is intense with a good texture, not too runny but not too thick. Everything seem perfect and i was happy.

To my surprise, it doesn't seem like that at all on the lip. The color is off, the texture is kinda sticky and my bf's sister doesn't like it. She gave it back to me thinking that the color might be more suitable for me but even me myself don't like it.... haiz. ...i guess i was so tired that morning to make a good decision on the the purchase. Totally a waste in the end for such a pricey lipstick.

11st.co.kr shopping review

Hello everyone!
How is your summer going? Did you have good time with your friends and family? For me, I am having nice time trying to endure the heat from Oulu's summer. I really wish that autumn will come as soon as possible :( . Anyways, today I am doing a review of a shopping mall from Korea that I have just discovered lately. Usually when I shop for korean products (I do that often because korean sizing is more suitable for my asian small frame) I use Gmarket. Then recently, I have tried another website similar to Gmarket, it is called 11st. This one was introduced to me by one of my lovely korean friend in Lyon. And since they are having a promotion offering free international delivery for order above 100USD, I couldn't be happier to order from them. So for today post, I will walk you through the procedure to order as well as some pros and cons compare to Gmarket that I think you need to know before deciding to order from this website.

First, you need to create an account, type in english.11st.co.kr to go to their english version website and register a new account. After having a new account you need to go to download the coupon in order have free international delivery. Click this link to go to their international delivery promotion page and choose download coupon for the first time user of 11st. Now the next step is really important, if you don't do it, you will not be able to use the coupon at checkout. First you need to open Internet explorer (IE only, it doesn't seem to work with Chrome or Firefox), log in to your account on 11st, then at the top of the page, there is a button called "Quick access: OFF", you need to click on that button and click on another button called "make quick access" (Actually, just a way of bookmarking the page), make sure after that you will see the button Quick Access change to On and red. Now it's done, you can start shopping and checkout your order as normally.

The Pros:
-Free shipping for international order
-They will refund the shipping fee if it is different from your real shipping fee to your paypal account (if you check out with paypal of course) which I like the most because when I shop in Gmarket, they don't refund the shipping fee to me but instead, take it as gmarket cash. However, since I don't shop there often and sometimes the different is more than 10 USD, then it is really annoying that I need to find something to shop to get back that 10USD...
-Have quite a lot of famous korean clothing and shoes reseller
-Easy to understand interface

The cons:
-A little bit of trouble to use the coupon
-Less reseller compare to Gmarket
-Reseller takes longer time to ship your shipment compare to gmarket
-Package always arrives late due to custom.

All in all, I find that it is a good alternative to shop for korean products beside Gmarket. I tend to use 11st to shop for shoes and basic clothing items like T-shirt and jeans. And when I fancy something different, I change to Gmarket , I still find that Gmarket has more shops and more products than 11st.

Real techniques Brushes review

Real techniques brushes
From left to right - RT Powder brush, RT expert face brush, RT blush brush

So, I purchased these brushes last month on iherb.com and it costs me about 9 usd for each brush, cost of transportation is 4 usd (which is really cheap because they send it from USA to Finland). At first, I was hesitating between buying each brush separately or buying the whole core collection which of course save me some extra money. But after reading many reviews about the core collection, I realized that buying separately would suit me more because I don’t really need all of the brushes in the core collection. So here it is, I ordered the expert face brush, the blush brush and the powder brush.
I need to confess, I have a weird obsession with base makeup, I love foundation, concealer and everything that make my skin become flawless and beautiful like a baby butt.  I have been using some brushes from ELF to apply my base makeup but I have never been satisfied with the result. Until recently, when I tried the RT miracle sponge, I felt in love with it (I will do a review about this tiny multi-tasking savior later) so I went on and research about the brand and voila… I have updated myself to the trend called “obsession with Real Techniques brush”, how cool is that?!!! JK J)). Ok so enough with nonsense talking, let’s get it work, shall we?

It is so tiny… I don’t know why I have an illusion that this brush would be big or…medium perhaps, but this brush is quite small. It is very soft and the bristles are very dense. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first because I was afraid that because of the density of the bristles, it would cake on my foundation and provide too much of the coverage which is never a good look. But I was wrong, I first tried it on with my Vichy dermablend crème foundation (amazing, I will do a review on this stuff later), and it goes on so smooth and I can’t even see the foundation line on my face, it likes it is melting into my skin!!! Seriously, you never know what is good until you find the good one.  Although the foundation that I use has quite a full coverage, the brush has helped to not make it cakey on my face, but instead, cover my skin flawlessly.

To be honest, I don’t really like this brush so much. It’s too big for my cheek. I find it is quite hard to control where I want the blush to be on my face with this brush than with the ELF brush that I had. Although the material and the softness of the ELF blush brush is no where near this brush but since it is easier to control, I find it is more useful. But I understand why so many girls love it. It’s just me, I have so small head L.

This brush is wonderful, It is soft, pluffy, easy to control and in a perfect size. I love this brush. I like to dust my face with powder after I put on foundation and this brush help to deliver such a flawless finish to my face, no more powder residue here and there. Your pore will vanish before your eyes. It’s that good.

Overall: I am quite satisfied with these brush, I think they are good quality and will last me a long time. I think they deliver such a good result for such a good price. I will definitely repurchase from Real techniques again.

Start of something new !!

I remembered the first time I put on make up was when I was 3 years old, at that time, I remember using the old coty powder of my mom and tapping it on my face like crazy. Of course the result was not so fascinating as I apply my make up now but just to let you guys have an idea how obsessed I am with make up since really young age. Throughout the time from university till now, I still love to put on make up, collect and try different things on my face. Having seen so many people create their blogs and review their makeup or sharing information about makeup, I was thinking to myself that I should create one too. At least to share with you guys what I think about the products that I tried and used or sometimes maybe doing some tutorials. That's why this blog is created and I am hoping that you guys will suppose me during my beauty journey ;) Let's begin !!!
